Project Annapoorna : Become A Hunger Warrior

The problem:
For the poor and homeless, corona is just a cold, the big worry is food.

The need
Total slum population of Mumbai IS 65,34,460, out of which the homeless is  appx. 50,000. Because of Covid Pandemic situation is getting worse as daily wage earners are out of job. 

• Midday Article published recently reported Suicide by a tribal lady along with her kids at Mokhada near Palghar due to hunger.

  Project Annapoorna – 1 million meals challenge:

• While Mumbai is on mute due to Corona, the deafening voice of hungry people in this maximum city is heard by Rotary District 3141 and Khaana Chahiye.
  Project Annapoorna is our humble efforts in “Acting Continuously for Hunger Eradication” along with Khana Chahiye.

• Hot, Nutritious food @ Rs. 15 is prepared in strategically located hygienic kitchens at Andheri, Miraroad, Chunabhatti, Parel and Powai. The food  will be distributed by YMCA , Shape India, Rotaractors and Robin Hood Army volunteers
